A flying start for KlaraFestival 2012 ticket sales Ticket sales take a flying start!   The ticket sales for KlaraFestival 2012 started on 2 June and are moving fast! So don't wait to buy tickets because this year, like other years, KlaraFestival has a programme on offer that is as daring as it is multidisciplinary! Tickets are available for all concerts: by phone + 32 (0) 70 210 217, via the internet www.klarafestival.be or at the BOZAR Box Office (Ravensteinstraat 23 - 1000 Brussel). The Box Offices of De Munt, Flagey, Concertgebouw Brugge and deSingel offer tickets for concerts to be performed in their concert halls. In the spotlight: the KlaraFestival Pass that allows you to experience all KlaraFestival concerts for a bargain. Only €99 for your personal KlaraFestival Pass. (Note: Not valid for the Matthäus Passion and Le Nozze di Figaro. The KlaraFestival Pass itself does not provide access to a concert! Tickets must be reserved beforehand for all the concerts you wish to attend. You can do this when purchasing your KlaraFestival Pass.) Lilith: wonderful music theatre!   As part of Club K, KlaraFestival's annual encounter between classical and pop music, the astonishing opera singer Claron McFadden presents Lilith, her first music theatre performance that links classical music, jazz, poetry, film and theatre. What's more, Lilith will be performed in the trendy Spirito Martini club and electro musician Stijn will open and conclude the evening with a DJ set in which he mixes funky tunes with classical music! The music theatre Lilith, named after Adam's first wife who refused to be subservient to him, took off at the Rotterdam Festivals and sold out at the Holland Festival. 		CONTINU Sasha Waltz & Guests Etant que spectateur de le Monnaie, Sasha Waltz n'est pas une inconnue pour vous. En 2008, la Monnaie a présenté sa première production d’opéra Dido & Aeneas (Purcell), en 2010 sa mise en scène de Medea (Dusapin) et la saison dernière Matsukaze (Hosokawa). Pour le dernier rendez-vous danse de la saison, la Monnaie vous invite à retrouver Sasha Waltz. La chorégraphe allemande développe avec Continu une œuvre spectaculaire pour 24 danseurs en reprenant des propositions qu’elle a conçues au cours des dernières années pour des musées, le Neues Museum à Berlin et le MAAXI à Rome. Une mise en mouvements impressionnante des relations entre le groupe et l’individu, entre deux individus dans le couple, entre le couple et le groupe, et entre des individus dans un groupe. 		CONTINU Sasha Waltz & Guests Als toeschouwer van de Munt is Sasha Waltz geen onbekende voor u. In 2008 haalde de Munt haar eerste operaregie Dido & Aeneas (Purcell) naar Brussel, in 2010 haar enscenering van Medea (Dusapin) en vorig seizoen Matsukaze (Hosokawa). Voor de laatste dansvoorstelling van het seizoen, nodigt de Munt u opnieuw uit voor een voorstelling van Sasha Waltz. Met Continu creëert de Duitse choreografe een spectaculaire voorstelling voor 24 dansers uit dansfrases die ze de laatste jaren voor diverse museumprojecten ontwikkelde – onder meer voor het Neues Museum in Berlijn en voor het MAAXI in Rome. Ze herwerkte deze tot een indrukwekkend onderzoek naar de relaties tussen het individu en de groep, tussen twee individuen binnen het koppel, tussen het koppel en de groep en tussen individuen binnen de groep. 		Passion Pascal Dusapin & Sasha Waltz Passion is een ontmoeting in de onderwereld tussen twee wezens die een onmogelijke liefde beleefden. Het werk nodigt ten dans door de “bewegingen van de ziel” die het ontroerende en sensuele lamento begeleiden dat Hij en Zij zingen, omgeven door een koor, de Anderen… Pascal Dusapin vroeg aan choreografe Sasha Waltz om dit lyrische werk te ensceneren, na een eerdere, succesvolle samenwerking aan zijn opera Medea, in 2010 opgevoerd in de Munt. 		En Atendant & Cesena Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker En Atendant en Cesena. Deze twee werken van Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker en Rosas die elkaars echo zijn, komen in het prachtige kader van de Abdij van Villers-la-Ville opnieuw tot hun recht in het natuurlijke licht dat aan hun creatie, op het Festival van Avignon, ten grondslag lag. En Atendant wordt uitgevoerd bij avondschemering, Cesena bij het ochtendgloren. In deze twee werken zet Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker haar verkenning van de Ars Subtilior verder. Een onmisbare afspraak aan het begin van ons nieuwe (dans)seizoen. 		O Mensch! Pascal Dusapin Op basis van een aantal gedichten van Friedrich Nietzsche creëerde Pascal Dusapin O Mensch!, een liedcyclus voor de buitengewone zanger-acteur Georg Nigl. Voor de gelegenheid kruipt deze zanger in de huid van een onthutste, eenzame reiziger, een danser die op een koord boven de afgrond de ruimte doorklieft die de rede van de waanzin scheidt. Dit portret van Nietzsche wordt gepresenteerd in een regie van de componist zelf waarin de beelden die hij ontwierp een subtiele wisselwerking aangaan met zijn muziek. 10 september 2012 om 20u00 - De Munt > Lees meer

		René Jacobs Johann Sebastian Bach Bachs Matthäus Passion is ongetwijfeld een van de sleutelwerken uit de hele westerse muziekgeschiedenis. Het is niet alleen Bachs omvangrijkste compositie, maar ook een van de meest emotioneel geladen werken uit het repertoire. 		Jérémie Rhorer Mendelssohn & Beethoven Beethoven en Mendelssohn: twee toonaangevende Duitse componisten die op uitzonderlijke wijze het classicisme en de romantiek met elkaar weten te verbinden. Beethoven heeft een scharnierfunctie tussen beide stijlperiodes. 		IL TROVATORE ON THE SCREEN Under the heading ‘Viva l’Opera’, at 8 pm on 6 July the UGC will be showing a live broadcast of Il Trovatore in the UGC cinemas at De Brouckère and Toison d'Or. This opera production can also be seen live on the Mezzo television channel on 15 June. Il Trovatore can be watched in full for free on our website from 7 to 27 July. Also make a note of this date: at 9 pm on 24 August Il Trovatore will be broadcast on the beach at Knokke-Heist. More info will be available soon on our website!

		Continu Sasha Waltz Tickets For its last dance performance of the season, La Monnaie has programmed an ambitious piece of choreography by Sasha Waltz, to music by three great twentieth-century composers: Edgar Varèse, Iannis Xenakis and Claude Vivier. She has adapted them into an impressive study of the relationships between the individual and the group, between the two individuals that make up a couple, between the couple and the group and between the individuals in the group. 		Gerald Finley Winterreise Tickets A winter trip at the start of summer? Winterreise is a unique cycle of 24 songs that Schubert created from poems by Wilhelm Müller. Its indisputable quality makes this cycle a lasting reference for all the composers who came after him and set poetry to music. Müller’s cycle evokes solitude, a snow-covered landscape, an impossible love, and also death, a dangerous travelling companion. Several months before his death, Schubert composed some truly irresistible melodies that give these poems an apt and uncomfortable perspective.
