As part of Club K, KlaraFestival's annual encounter between classical and pop music, the astonishing opera singer Claron McFadden presents Lilith, her first music theatre performance that links classical music, jazz, poetry, film and theatre. What's more, Lilith will be performed in the trendy Spirito Martini club and electro musician Stijn will open and conclude the evening with a DJ set in which he mixes funky tunes with classical music! The music theatre Lilith, named after Adam's first wife who refused to be subservient to him, took off at the Rotterdam Festivals and sold out at the Holland Festival. This promising musical performance has received nothing but positive reviews: "A wonderful musical tale. [...] This opera is a little festival gem."
(Max Arian - Theaterkrant) "Lilith, staged by McFadden, is a fertile experimental ground for all that music theatre is and could become." (Mischa Spel - NRC Handelsblad) "It has quite a distinctive and a very beautiful sound which will leave you wanting to hear more in the hour the performance takes."
(Max Arian - Theaterkrant) So you see: a performance not to be missed! --- Club K - Lilith: Saturday 01 September 2012 - Club Spirtio Martini (Elsene) – 7.30pm – €15 – Tickets |
