OPERA

Passion
Pascal Dusapin & Sasha Waltz
The season opens with the Belgian premiere of this production, which was acclaimed by audiences during its world premiere at Théatre des Champs-Elysées. Composer Pascal Dusapin and choreographer Sasha Waltz invite you to an encounter in the world of the dead, between two beings who had lived an impossible love. Passion calls upon dance through 'movements of the soul' which bring to life the vibrant and sensual lamento sung by Her and Him. Pascal Dusapin has asked choreographer Sasha Waltz to stage Passion, with the extraordinary singers Barbara Hannigan and Georg Nigl, as well as the dancers from the Sasha Waltz & Guests company.
